Bill Belichick: Dion Lewis ‘probably’ won’t return to Patriots practice this week.
The Patriots are still waiting for Dion Lewis.
The running back, who tore his ACL last November and subsequently underwent surgery twice, has been on the Physically Unable to Perform list this season.
He was eligible to return to Patriots practice Tuesday, but apparently that will not happen.
Head coach Bill Belichick said as much during a Tuesday morning conference call.
Bill Belichick says "probably not this week" when asked if PUP players Dion Lewis and Tre' Jackson will begin practicing.

Once Lewis returns to practice, the team would have up to three weeks before having to officially move him up to the 53-man roster.
Second-year guard Tre’ Jackson has been on the PUP list due to a knee injury, as well. New England is currently carrying just eight offensive linemen on their 53-man roster, the lowest total in the NFL, and struggled to protect Tom Brady in the first half of its Week 6 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
