The New England Patriots trounced the Cincinnati Bengals 35-17 in Week 6. The Patriots left the contest disgruntled, however, unhappy with the Bengals’ overzealous defensive efforts, particularly that of linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Burfict dove at tight end Martellus Bennett’s knee after Tom Brady pumped faked in his direction, and later stomped on LeGarrette Blount’s leg following a goal-line carry.
The NFL deemed the extracurricular activities not worthy of a suspension, but did fine Burfict $75,000 for his actions.
Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin asked Bennett for his reaction.
Martellus Bennett on Burfict not drawing a fine for a hit to Bennett's knees: "Doesn't matter to me. It's not like I get the money."

Bennett finished with 5 catches and 48 yards in the game. He’s the Patriots’ leading receiver through six games with 362 yards on 26 catches, 4 of which resulted in touchdowns.
