The New England Patriots have made good use of late-season roster additions in the past and it appears they’re trying to find an offensive spark in mid-December by adding veteran wide receiver Kenny Britt.
According to a report from Field Yates of ESPN, the Patriots are nearing a deal to bring Britt to the Patriots for the stretch run.
Britt is a nine-year NFL veteran who had over 1,000 yards receiving for the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, leading to a deal with the Cleveland Browns in the offseason. However, Britt didn’t work out in Cleveland and he was released earlier in the year.
It’s unclear exactly how Britt might factor into an already crowded Patriots rotation at wide receiver at the moment, but one thing that becomes clear is that Malcolm Mitchell won’t be returning off injured reserve. Stay tuned to All22.com for further updates.
