New England Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan won’t be available in Week 15.
Hogan will be inactive on Sunday when the Patriots take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported.
Hogan has 34 catches for 439 yards and 5 touchdowns in nine games. The Patriots will miss a reliable receiver, but Hogan’s right shoulder needs more time to recover. The receiver injured his shoulder on Oct. 29 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He missed four games because of the ailment. The 6-foot-1 pass catcher returned last week but was affected by the shoulder in a 27-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins. As a result, the team opted to sit him down this week.
The Patriots acquired wide receiver Kenny Britt as insurance. Britt is expected to make his debut with New England against the Steelers on Sunday.
