New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a sideline outburst in Week 13. The receipient of Brady’s outburst was Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. McDaniels downplayed Brady’s Week 13 tantrum on Tuesday.
“It’s a very competitive game and emotional game. Things like that can happen,”McDaniels said, per Mike Reiss of ESPN. “Being in the game a long time and understanding Tom’s a very emotional person, an emotional player. It’s part of what makes him great. You understand those things happen. It’s never personal. You move on quickly from it. We did and we have. I love Tom and all the things he stands for and all the things he does for our team. That’s just a situation where you understand it and you move on quickly from it, and you focus on your job.”
Emotional exchanges happen all the time on NFL sidelines. Brady could have definitely handled the situation better. Players never what to appear to be showing up their coaches.
Brady was in the wrong last Sunday. Although, the quarterback and offensive coordinator have moved on from their heated moment.
