New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
This is nothing surprising, as Bennett has been questionable with an ankle injury for the past few weeks and the Patriots are as slow when it comes to making changes to the injury report. But Bennett missed practice on Friday, and that is definitely a concern.
Bennett is second on the team in receiving yards with 367 and first on the team in receiving touchdowns with 4. He’s been a very useful weapon for Tom Brady and his replacements in the first four weeks of the season. Missing him for any amount of time is definitely concerning.
In addition to Bennett, wide receivers Julian Edelman (foot) and Malcolm Mitchell (hamstring), defensive tackles Woodrow Hamilton (shoulder) and Vincent Valentine (back), cornerback Jonathan Jones (hip) and linebacker Elandon Roberts (ankle) are all listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.
While Bennett missed practice Friday, the other players were all listed as limited participants and it’s likely they will be able to play. Edelman is the biggest name on that list, as he’s struggled this season. He’s been a limited practice participant and questionable for most of the season.
