Week 12 is slated to be another week of inactivity for Mike Gillislee.
The New England Patriots running back is going to be a healthy scratch on Sunday when the team takes on the Miami Dolphins. According to Kevin Duffy of MassLive, Gillislee left Gillette Stadium less than two hours before kickoff and walked to the parking lot. That action usually is a sign that a player is inactive.
Newly signed defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois did the same.
In the presumed case Gillislee is inactive, it will mark the third-straight game that the running back’s been outside of the 53-man roster. New England’s former starting running back has clearly fallen out of the rotation behind Dion Lewis, James White and Rex Burkhead.
Gillislee’s rushed 98 times for 355 yards and 4 touchdowns through eight games. He’s still currently second on the team in rushing yards. Yet, Bill Belichick seems to be moving forward with Lewis, White and Burkhead.
