New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got caught in an unhappy mood while talking to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels during their 23-3 victory against the Buffalo Bills.
Brady was shown yelling directly in McDaniels’ face, and one of the Patriots employees stepped between the two. Brady said after the game that the small altercation doesn’t mean anything.
“Just football,” Brady said, via NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry. “We’ve been around each other a lot. I love Josh.”
McDaniels appeared to be a little irritated with Brady for making a mistake, and the two-time NFL MVP didn’t want to spend much time discussing that mistake
They have worked together for many years with the Patriots. McDaniels was the Patriots’ offensive coordinator from 2006-09. After two seasons as the Broncos coach, he returned to his former job in 2012 and has been there ever since.
While Brady is known as the glamour quarterback in the NFL, he gets fiery during games. He’ll headbutt teammates, and a video went viral years ago of him yelling at former offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.
Football is an intense game and sometimes emotions spill over into shouting. It appears to work out just fine for the Patriots as they get ready to win a ninth consecutive AFC East title.
