New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had a stellar day on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, catching 2 touchdown passes. However, the All-Pro tight end says that’s not enough from quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady bragged about his grandmother’s famed Thanksgiving biscuit recipe on Friday, claiming to have nailed them at this year’s Thanksgiving dinner. Gronkowski demanded proof of his baking skills and Brady claimed that they were all gone, but Gronk wasn’t having any of that.
He demanded that Brady bake some more and then doubled down in the postgame press conference on Sunday.
“Those were the biscuits. I guess he wasn’t making any more, so he made up for it. But I still want those biscuits,” Gronkowski said according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.
Gronkowski is clearly kidding with regard to the seriousness of the situation, but it’s tough to doubt that Gronkowski probably really would like to try those biscuits. So, as busy as Brady is, maybe he takes a couple hours and makes his man-child tight end the happiest little big guy on the planet by whipping up a special batch.
Maybe Brady can even take a page out of Bill Belichick’s book and turn the biscuits into some sort of contract incentive for more dominant performances out of the superstar.
