The New England Patriots will again without wide receiver Chris Hogan.
He missed their previous game against the Denver Broncos with a shoulder injury, and it will keep him out again on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. The Patriots will also be without wide receiver Matthew Slater, tackle Marcus Cannon and center David Andrews.
Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, tight end Martellus Bennett, cornerback Eric Rowe and defensive linemen Malcolm Brown and Cassius Marsh are questionable to play against the Raiders.
Hogan injured his shoulder during the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ Week 8 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. He left the stadium that night in a sling. They had a bye the next week, but it was not enough time for him to recover.
Before the injury, Hogan was on his way to a career year. His previous best performance was last year, when he caught 38 passes for 480 yards and 4 touchdowns. Prior to the shoulder injury, he had 33 receptions for 438 yards and 5 touchdowns this season.
The Patriots offense finally got back on track last week after failing to break 25 points since their Week 4 loss to the Carolina Panthers, albeit with some help from the Broncos special teams unit. They defeated the Broncos 41-16.
