New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is as imposing a player as you’ll find in the NFL at 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds. One of his teammates said he resembles a horse.
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman might have had the quote of the day when talking about the gigantic pass catcher following New England’s 35-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
“He’s like a Clydesdale horse out there,” Edelman said, according to WEEI’s Ryan Hannable. “He’s fun to watch.”
Gronkowski was certainly New England’s workhorse on Sunday, reeling in 7 passes for a career-high 162 yards and 1 touchdown. Gronk’s big day became even more eventful when he went at it with Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict in the fourth quarter. He was eventually flagged for taunting, but it didn’t really matter at that point.
It appears Gronk the Clydesdale is hitting his stride after getting off to a slow start this season.
