New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has a unique personality.
It makes sense that his taste in music would reflect that. When asked about what he enjoys listening to, Edelman covered several genres when naming some his favorite artists.
“My mix is pretty insane,” Edelman said, via Boston.com’s Nicole Yang. “You’ll have some Snoop Dogg, some N.W.A., some Jay-Z, some Eminem, and then all of a sudden, you’ll have M83’s Outro, some Steely Dan, the Steve Miller Band, Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye. Literally, I’m all over.”
The idea of Edelman in the weight room listening to Distant Lover is pretty hilarious.
Also, it kind of symbolizes how the Patriots operate. They bring in players from various backgrounds. Yet they fit together to accomplish one goal: win.
It is Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s greatest talent. He is amazing at putting together strategy, but it doesn’t work without personnel.
Any player he feels is good at football, he will bring into the organization and give him a chance. He takes chances where others won’t, and that’s part of the reason why the Patriots are always one of the best teams in the league.
