Rob Gronkowski returned to his All-Pro form in the New England Patriots’ 33-13 rout of the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, finishing with 5 catches and 109 yards in Tom Brady’s season debut. His fellow tight end, newcomer Martellus Bennett, caught 6 balls for 67 yards and all 3 of Brady’s touchdowns, but failed to complete a flawless spike in the end zone following one of his scores.
Gronkowski, of course, knows a thing or two about celebratory spikes.
“It happens, but it’s pretty funny that it slipped like that,” Gronkowski told the media on Thursday. “But I gotta give him credit to the windup. Did you see the windup he had? A-plus there.”

Much has rightly been made of the Patriots reclaiming their dynamic Two-Tight End formation from 2011. Gronkowski was asked what he thought of Bennett being on the receiving end of each of Brady’s touchdown passes. “The only thing that matters is getting that W,” he told reporters.
Well, the Patriots are 4-1.
