New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady touted himself as something of a biscuit connoisseur this Thanksgiving on his Instagram page and now he’s feeling the heat from teammate Rob Gronkowski.
Brady posted a nostalgic Instagram picture of him making his grandmother’s biscuit recipe on Thanksgiving day and then raved about the biscuits to reporters on Friday. Gronkowski caught wind and made it clear that he also likes biscuits, so much so that there’d be trouble if Brady didn’t make another batch.
“He was bragging about them (Friday) and I told him to bring some in and he’s like, ‘They were so good they were all eaten,’” Gronkowski said according to Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com in Boston. “So I told him to make some more. I’m not lying. That’s dead serious what happened.
“If he doesn’t bring some in there’s going to be some problems.”
A good biscuit or roll, of course, can help tie an entire Thanksgiving meal together. They should be able to stand on their own, perhaps with just a touch of butter, or complement the turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy to make a little sandwich.
And if Brady’s grandma’s biscuits are everything he says they are, it’d be an absolute shame to rob his teammates of such greatness.
