Tom Brady has notably made many celebrity appearances before. He was the Boston Celtics’ surprise guest during the team’s free agency pitch to Kevin Durant in the Hamptons this summer. He’s married to world-famous model Gisele Bündchen. And now he’s attending Muhammad Ali tribute events, as reported by TMZ.
Brady reportedly “served as an auctioneer at the TAG Heuer event at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn … posing with guests like Evander Holyfield, Henrik Lundqvist and even takin’ a punch from fashion designer Iris Apfel.” As they typically do, the Patriots players had an off day on Tuesday.
A gold Ali-inspired watch was auctioned off with a pair of autographed boxing gloves and a commemorative medal.
Perhaps they should have also auctioned off some of Brady’s game-used equipment this season.
The 39-year-old has been exceptional, completing 76 of 101 passes for 1,004 yards and 8 touchdowns, with zero interceptions. His performance has Brady leading all NFL quarterbacks in several major categories.
Brady leads the league with a 132.6 passer rating, a 75.2 percent completion percentage, 9.9 yards per pass attempt, a perfect 0.0 percent pass interception percentage and a 7.9 percent passing touchdown percentage. All of those numbers would be career highs for Brady, who is in his 17th season.
