Tom Brady will see his last action of the season tonight, until he comes back from his suspension in week five of the regular season against the Cleveland Browns.
Tom E. Curran of CSN New England is reporting that Brady will start in the New England Patriots’ final preseason game against the New York Giants. Jimmy Garroppolo will not play tonight.
Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett will come in the game at some point. Brady has wanted to get in a good deal of playing time, but Garroppolo has needed the work. He has produced some less than ideal performances throughout the preseason.
Garroppolo will start the first four games of the regular season for the Patriots while Brady serves his suspension for his role in the deflation of footballs during the 2015 AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.
He has thrown 31 regular season passes as enters his third season in the NFL, going 11-20 for 188 yards and one touchdown, no interceptions and a 64.5 percent completion percentage.
The Patriots open the regular season on the road against Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football, September 10. Their next three games are against the Miami Dolphins at home, Thusday Night Football at home against the Houston Texans and at home against the Buffalo Bills.
