If New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore hasn’t proven himself to be best the at his position in the NFL, he proved himself to be the NFL’s most resourceful cornerback against the Atlanta Falcons.
Lattimore intercepted Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan on Sunday, and barely used one hand. Ryan’s pass went off the hand of Falcons wide receiver Marvin Hall, and it landed on Lattimore’s rear end. He frantically reached around with one hand to secure the ball and fought off a teammate for his fifth interception of the season.
How? HOW?!@shonrp2 just made one of the best plays of the year.

The Saints are leading the Falcons 13-0 at halftime, and at 10-4 are having their best season since 2013. A huge reason for that success is Lattimore. He was selected 11th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and has arguably been the best player in the class.
Pro Football Focus has Lattimore rated as the fourth-best cornerback in the NFL, and the Saints pass defense has gone from worst in the NFL to seventh-best since his arrival.
The Saints are hoping that a Super Bowl championship is their lasting memory of the 2017 season, but Lattimore intercepting a pass with his backside will be played in highlight packages until the end of time.
