Giants QB Eli Manning to start Week 14 vs. Cowboys
Eli Manning could start a new streak on Sunday.
The New York Giants are a mess right now. New York fired coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese on Monday amid a disastrous season. It marked the first time the organization fired a coach midseason since 1976. Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will be the team’s interim coach.
McAdoo and Reese’s handling of Manning’s demotion last week was the nail in the coffin for the organization. It appears as though Spagnuolo has learned from recent history.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported that the Giants will start Manning in Week 14 when the team takes on the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, Giants owners John Mara and Steve Tisch had enormous influence — if not all — on the team’s quarterback decision.
Mara said he supported the decision to see what Geno Smith and Davis Webb could do behind center last week. Yet, was unhappy with how things transpired. Now it seems as though there’s been a reverse course all together.
The drama-filled Giants will start Manning on Sunday. You can bet he will get a loud ovation when he takes the field in New York.
