The status of Odell Beckham is still a question mark, literally.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the New York Giants wide receiver is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Beckham hasn’t practiced since suffering an ankle injury in a preseason game on Aug. 21 against the Cleveland Browns. On Thursday, the fourth-year receiver did straight-line running at what appeared to be near 100 percent. Beckham didn’t partake in any route-running or change-of-direction drills that would put more stress on his ankle.
The Giants’ hesitancy to allow Beckham to cut and change direction is a little concerning this late in the week. But the receiver said he’s going to do whatever it takes to get on the field against the Cowboys.
“I wouldn’t count it out,” Beckham said about playing on Sunday night, via the Giants’ official website. “My heart – it’s just not going to make this easy. I can say that it’s a day-to-day thing — really trying to get better. It’s been two weeks. I’m itching. I’m itching, but just patience and trusting.”
All 22 predicted on Thursday that it probably would be a game-time decision for Beckham. It appears it’s headed that way.
