Being in a broadcast booth is a stressful thing, and sometimes it’s easy to get stir crazy. For Jon Gruden, analyst for “Monday Night Football,” getting stir crazy is very easy.
In fact, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to suggest that Gruden exists in a kind of continuous state of stir crazy. And that is often conveyed on air when the cameras are on him.
Observe, the Gruden in his natural habitat:
We don’t know if Gruden is trying to block something, or trying to attack something, or if he has a serious problem with co-broadcaster Sean McDonough and he’s challenging him to an ancient battle to the death. We’ll update as the game, which is currently led by the Cardinals, 14-3, at the time of writing, progresses. Let’s all take a moment to pray for McDonough’s health.
Gruden really does seem like the kind of guy who would spontaneously practice capoeira, doesn’t he?
