An innocent retweet by Marshawn Lynch will only fuel comeback rumors
Marshawn Lynch might have hinted at a potential comeback on Twitter Saturday night.
One small retweet will likely set the NFL rumor mill ablaze with speculation. It all started when a fan tweeted at Lynch bringing up an interesting song he had on a Spotify playlist titled “Oakland Raiders.”
At the surface, this seems like a mere coincidence after a report surfaced last week suggesting the Raiders were interested in acquiring the former Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks tailback.
The fan even admits the song had been on Lynch’s playlist for quite some time. However, Lynch’s retweet will fuel speculation that “Beast Mode,” is coming out of retirement.

Lynch retired after the 2015 season and used Twitter to announce he was stepping away from the game.

Lynch, 30, called it quits after playing only seven games during the 2015 campaign with the Seahawks. The enigmatic tailback revitalized his career in Seattle, rushing for 6,347 yards and 57 touchdowns, with plenty of incredible moments along the way.
The Raiders are in the market for a running back after letting Latavius Murray go to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency. Oakland is in position to contend for the AFC crown and could be a great landing spot for Lynch if he decides to return. The Raiders ranked sixth in rushing offense last season and have one of the best offensive lines in the entire NFL.
While it still may seem like a longshot, Lynch certainly isn’t doing anything to put the rumors to bed.
