The Eagles signed McKelvin in March to help shore up their defensive backfield.
Besides the injury it has been all smiles for the Eagles this afternoon. They are leading the Browns 22-10 early in the fourth quarter.
Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz could not have started his first game any better. Currently he is 19-for-32 for 246 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He has thrown touchdown passes to both of his starting wide receivers, Nelson Agholor and Jordan Matthews.
The Eagles also scored on a field goal by Caleb Sturgis, and added some points on special teams.
Browns Quarterback Robert Griffin III couldn’t handle a snap and the ball went through the back of the endzone.
Griffin’s Browns debut has not gone nearly as well as Wentz’s first game. He has completed 50 percent of his passes for 190 yards, no touchdowns and 1 interception. He also leads the Browns in rushing, gaining 26 yards on the ground. Running back Isaiah Crowell scored the only Cleveland touchdown on a 2-yard plunge to cap a 7-play, 75-yard drive.
