The Philadelphia Eagles came into Week 6 having sustained their first loss of the season and needing a win over the division rival Washington Redskins.
Whether or not they will eventually win the game, which at the time of writing is just at the two-minute warning of the first half and tied at 14-14, is still up in the air but the Eagles have had a couple big plays thus far.
That includes the above kick return, which Wendell Smallwood took for 86 yards all the way to the house. That was actually the very first kickoff return for a touchdown this season. Kickoffs are harder and harder to score on with the league consistently tweaking the rules, but Smallwood made it happen.
It’s worth noting that not long after that, Eagles defender Malcolm Jenkins had a 64-yard interception return for a touchdown to account for the totality of Philadelphia’s scoring. Big plays are the theme of the day for the Eagles.
