Date set for James Harrison to meet with NFL
He huffed and he puffed, and in the end James Harrison blew a little bit of the NFL’s house away.
He will not be flying to New York to meet with the league. According the the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, they will meet him at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice facility. However, the meeting will take place at 11 a.m. EST on Thursday, August 25.
Originally Harrison said he would meet with the NFL if they came to his house. He budged on that, but sent a letter to the league saying would meet with them at 5 p.m. EST on August 29. That would have been four days after the August 25 deadline the league set for him to meet about his link to last year’s Al Jazeera America report about performance enhancing drugs, or face a possible suspension.
Green Bay Packers’ linebackers Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews were also named in the report and will have their meetings on Wednesday, August 24.
