DeAngelo Williams and the Pittsburgh Steelers took some time Wednesday afternoon to celebrate James Harrison being cleared by the NFL.
The running back took to Twitter to display his excitement that Harrison (Debo) would not be punished. He also mentioned another player he felt was unfairly targeted by the league.
“When the NFL investigator man the drop case on you they try to Tom Brady you,” Williams said. “That’s what we call it now.”

Williams said the other Steelers in the background were off to their favorite doughnut shop to celebrate.
This video helps display some of the anti-league sentiment that has been growing among the players during the last few years. He also used phrases such as “Debo beat his case,” and “He had a lot of charges pending,” words that would typically describe someone that was acquitted in a trial.
Originally Harrison was openly defiant saying there was no way he would fly to New York to meet with the league, and they would have to come to his house to interview him. A compromise was eventually reached and he was interviewed at the Steelers facility last Thursday.
The NFL sent out a press release yesterday, saying there was no credible evidence found against the players named in the Al Jazeera America report about performance enhancing drugs.
