Jarvis Landry says workouts with Antonio Brown were ‘intense, fun’
The Antonio Brown-Jarvis Landry connection is more than just a Keith Butler statement. The two star receivers worked out together in Florida this offseason after reaching out to one another.
Landry plays for the Miami Dolphins. Brown is from Miami and has a home in Florida. And so Landry told Miami media that it only made sense to them to meet up and see if they could help each other out.
“Intense, fun. It’s educational in a sense to watch the game,” Landry said of the workouts. “Not only that, man, but to give us an opportunity to know each other, to work together and to really raise the bar.”
Earlier this week, Butler, the Steelers defensive coordinator, told reporters Landry reminded him of Brown in terms of his quickness and athleticism.
Brown is in his seventh year in the league, whereas Landry is only in his third. Brown is leading the league in catches for the third straight season, but both players topped 1,100 yards last season and rank in the top five in receptions entering their Week 6 game in Miami.
