Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin described assistant coach Joey Porter’s arrest as disappointing during his Tuesday press conference.
Porter was arrested at a Pittsburgh bar Sunday night and was charged with five crimes. The Steelers put Porter on indefinite leave, and Tomlin said Tuesday there is no timetable for his return, per the Observer-Reporter’s Dale Lolley.
Tomlin doesn’t believe Porter’s situation will serve as a distraction to the team, but it’s uncertain when or if he will be back.
The Steelers will now try to hone in on their divisional round showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
