Sean Spence is coming back to Pittsburgh.
The Steelers signed the free-agent linebacker on Tuesday, per NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.
The Steelers drafted Spence in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played in Pittsburgh from 2012-15. The linebacker then joined the Tennessee Titans for one year. During the offseason he signed with the Indianapolis Colts but he was one of the team’s final cuts before the regular season. He’s now on his way back to the Steel City.
Spence’s re-arrival to Pittsburgh is obviously a reactionary move with both linebackers Ryan Shazier and Tyler Matakevich injured.
The sixth-year linebacker has 144 tackles, 5 sacks and 3 pass deflections in his career.
