Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore is one tough dude.
Moore took a hit from Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree that you might have felt from your couch at home. Moore was decked immediately after rolling out to his right and throwing an incompletion during the second quarter of Sunday’s Wild Card matchup.
This hit was so violent words can barely describe it.
The jarring collision also sparked a scrum between both teams, as the Dolphins took exception to seeing their quarterback getting railroaded. Dupree was flagged for a roughing the passer penalty and Dolphins tailback Jay Ajayi was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for coming to the aid of his quarterback.
Moore remained on the ground for a little while before walking off the field and being quickly evaluated for a concussion. Many thought it was time for third-string quarterback T.J. Yates to step in and take the reins for the rest of the game. But, Moore miraculously returned to action after missing only one play.
Miami’s drive ultimately resulted in a field goal that cut Pittsburgh’s lead to 14 points. The Dolphins are attempting to stage a rally and currently trail 20-6 late in the first half. Fortunately for them, their quarterback appears to be all right.
