Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cam Heyward was a Pro Bowl snub this season. The seven-year veteran is taking his frustration out on the Houston Texans.
Heyward registered a sack in the first half on Monday night. The defensive lineman now has a career-high 11 sacks on the season. According to the Steelers’ official website, Heyward’s recorded 36 sacks in his career which ranks eighth all time in franchise history.
The Steelers veteran is arguably having his best year as a pro. He was disappointed about not being selected to the Pro Bowl but is focused on the ultimate goal, a championship.
“Obviously, I care,” Heyward said, per Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “You want to be recognized, but it’s not my choice. I’m just worried about football. I’ll focus on that and get back to business.”
