The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-1 and winning despite a slew of injuries.
On Tuesday, Mike Tomlin provided an injury update on his team. Tomlin ruled out safety Shamarko Thomas for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins and said he doesn’t expect offensive lineman Cody Wallace to practice much this week, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette.
But those are only two of the numerous Steelers dealing with injuries. Tomlin said nothing has changed for his other injured players and mentioned running back DeAngelo Williams is dealing with a knee injury.
Tomlin: Status quo with rest of the injuries. Wheaton, Shazier, Coates, Eli Rogers, J. Gilbert, Golden, Nix, DWill (knee, new)

The Steelers have stayed afloat primarily because of Ben Roethlisberger and their high-powered offense. Pittsburgh has scored 74 points in its last two games and Roethlisberger has thrown 9 touchdowns in his last two games.
