The Pittsburgh Steelers will probably be adding another player to their lengthy injury report this week.
Wide receiver Sammie Coates was spotted wearing a soft cast on his left hand, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Coates played last Sunday’s game against the New York Jets with a gash on his left hand that ultimately required 17 stitches. Coates actually had a career day, catching 6 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns during a 31-13 victory.
There hasn’t been any word as to whether Coates will play this weekend against the Miami Dolphins. A hand injury for a wide receiver is clearly as bad as it gets, and Coates’ injury might have played a role in some of his dropped passes last week.
On the other hand, Coates probably would love to build off of last week’s stellar performance.
