Brandon Browner’s football career appears to be in doubt.
The Seattle Seahawks are ending the short reunion with the cornerback, according to NFL.com.
Browner enjoyed his best years in Seattle from 2011-2013 and signed for a second time with the team during the offseason.
Despite starting all 16 games for the New Orleans Saints last season, Browner had a year to forget. He was often flagged for pass interference penalties and was continuously beat in coverage.
Browner’s short stint in Seattle is an indication that his best football is behind him. Yet the 32-year-old will probably get picked up by a cornerback-needy team.
In seven seasons, the corner has played for the Denver Broncos, Seahawks, New England Patriots and Saints.
Browner has 218 tackles and 12 interceptions in his career.
