Earlier in the season, the Seattle Seahawks’ Michael Bennett was furious at one of the Atlanta Falcons. He was the recipient of what he perceived to be a dirty play. When asked about it on Tuesday, he was considerably less upset.
“I don’t have many reasons to be angry right now,” Bennett said via The News Tribune’s Gregg Bell.
That statement is more than likely referring to the new contract he signed with the Seahawks worth $17.5 million guaranteed.
The Seahawks played the Falcons at home in October. They won a hard-fought game, but Bennett was irate after getting cut-blocked by Falcons offensive tackle Jake Matthews.
He went on an expletive-laden tirade about how he was not pleased with the play.
“To me it’s a scary, b**** ass move,” Bennett said via The Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta. “Honestly, I think if you dive at someone else’s legs you’re a little b****. If you are big in the NFL you just line up and play.”
Bennett went on for little while longer saying much of the same thing.
His comments would make someone think that Matthews is a sworn enemy. However, recently being guaranteed millions of dollars has a way of making clear the important things in life.
