The Atlanta Falcons will get a young pass rusher back for their third preseason game, but will also be missing one of their veteran pass rushers.
Dwight Freeney will not play against the Miami Dolphins Thursday night with a slight back strain, the team announced on Twitter. Coach Dan Quinn said he expects to have Freeney back for the final week of the preseason.

It’s not all bad news for the Falcons, however. Atlanta will get linebacker Vic Beasley back after the former first-round pick missed the team’s second preseason game with a shoulder injury.
The Falcons are hoping Beasley and Freeney can boost the league’s worst pass rushing unit from a season ago. Atlanta ranked dead-last in the NFL with only 19 sacks.
Kicker Matt Bryant (hamstring), safety Kemal Ishmael (shoulder) and running back Terron Ward (ankle) also won’t play against the Dolphins.
