There was a little role reversal Sunday in New England.
The New England Patriots had communication problems during the team’s 35-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com, Patriots coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia had to signal in plays by hand due to headset malfunctions.
The Patriots have been the usual suspect of such shenanigans in recent years. In 2015, the Pittsburgh Steelers claimed to have communication issues in New England.
New England now knows what it feels like to be on the other side.
Although the headset malfunction didn’t impact the team too much. The Patriots still lit up the Bengals. Tom Brady passed for 376 yards and three touchdowns. Rob Gronkowski had his best game of the season with seven receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown.
New England travels to Pittsburgh next week to face the Steelers. Thats right, the same team that had headset issues at Gillette Stadium.
Can you hear me now…
