The Pittsburgh Steelers put up a lackluster performance in Sunday’s 30-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
It was a game where several Steelers were banged up, including Ben Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger hurt his knee in Sunday’s loss and was forced to miss some action. He later returned to the contest and provided little spark for the team.
“We won’t make excuses,” the Steelers QB said after the loss, according to the team’s official website. “We’re all out there playing through pain and out there trying to give our all, so no excuses.”
Roethlisberger was 19-of-34 for 189 passing yards with one touchdown and an interception in Sunday’s disappointing loss.
“We weren’t (consistent) tonight,” Roethlisberger added, per ESPN’s Jeremy Folwer. “That’s on all of us.”
Roethlisberger also confirmed that he’ll undergo a precautionary MRI on his knee. Although his injury isn’t believed to be too serious.
Things won’t get any easier for Pittsburgh next week. Roethlisberger and company host the red hot New England Patriots next Sunday.
