Great news in Washington.
CSN Washington has video of Redskins first-round pick Josh Doctson running routes. The wide receiver has been sidelined with tendinitis in his Achilles tendon since minicamp and missed the Redskins’ entire training camp.
He was activated off of the physically unable to perform list on Saturday. Doctson is expected to be a major contributor as soon as he is healthy. In his final season at TCU, Doctson caught 65 passes for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Redskins receiving corps has been much improved since adding Desean Jackson in 2014. Moving Pierre Garcon to No. 2 wide receiver opened up the offense and helped quarterback Kirk Cousins have a breakout 2015 season. Everything culminated with Washington winning its first division championship since 2012.
