Cullen Jenkins is back with the Redskins after being cut 10 days ago.
The Redskins have re-signed the veteran defensive end in a salary cap move, according to Pro Football Talk.
The 35-year-old lineman was cut and brought back by the Redskins to ensure the team wouldn’t have to pay his guaranteed salary. Jenkins signed a one-year deal with Washington in late August before being cut several days later.
The 13th-year veteran was a productive role player for the New York Giants last season, recording 26 combined tackles and three sacks. He should be an important addition to a Redskins defensive line that surrendered 147 rushing yards to the Pittsburgh Steelers during a 38-16 loss.
