Washington Redskins running back Matt Jones left his team’s second preseason game against the New York Jets with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder.
Jones was driven into the left sidelines on an outside run by two Jets defenders and ran off the field with his left arm dangling. He eventually went to the locker room for further evaluation.
Matt Jones went to locker room in obvious pain. Landed on left arm/shoulder.

Jones is expected to be Washington’s lead tailback after the team let Alfred Morris go to Dallas via free agency. Chris Thompson is the primary backup on the depth chart.
